Beginner Nail Technician Course - Your First Steps into the Nail Industry
I know what it's like to want something different. I was in a job I desperately wanted to get out of, and gaining my nail qualification was the first step towards that change. It honestly felt like a weight had been lifted.
Your training is just the beginning of your journey, but it could be the stepping stone towards something really exciting. Whether that's a new career, your own little business or simply doing something you love, I want to help you get started with the right foundations.
When I did my first nail course, I came away feeling a little overwhelmed and unsure. I often think how much further along I could have been if I'd had more guidance and support. That's something I want to offer my own students. No gatekeeping, no silly questions and no feeling like you should already know everything.
So, have you been thinking about becoming a nail technician? Maybe you've always loved nails but aren't quite sure where to begin, or perhaps you're looking for a career change and something more flexible to fit around your lifestyle?
It's completely normal to feel nervous about starting something new, but you don't need previous experience or to know everything before you begin. That's what I'm here for!
That's exactly why I offer my Natural Nail Technician Course (Beginner), to give you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to take those first steps into the nail industry, with support and guidance along the way.

What Will You Learn on Our Beginner Nail Technician Course?
This is a fully ABT-accredited beginner nail technician course, delivered by me in partnership with The Nail Hub. It's designed to take you through the foundations of becoming a nail technician, from understanding the natural nail and working safely to learning how to deliver professional nail treatments.
We'll cover everything from nail anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client consultations and salon hygiene to practical application techniques and full product knowledge.
You'll learn how to deliver gel polish manicures, natural nail builder gel overlays, builder gel rebalances and safe product removals. We'll also cover the no-file application technique.
But it's not just about learning how to apply products. I want you to understand the why behind each step, what products you're using and how to work safely and confidently.
You'll also get plenty of my own tips and tricks along the way, including how I approach delivering the best possible service and experience for my clients.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone looking to start their journey as a nail technician. Whether you're completely new to nails, considering a career change or looking to turn your love for nails into something more, this is a great place to start.
Perhaps you'd love to have your own home-based nail business, work in a salon or simply offer nail treatments as a little side hustle alongside your current job.
There's no previous experience needed. Just a willingness to learn, the right attitude and a genuine interest in what you want to do.
Why choose 1:1 training with me?
All my beginner training is delivered 1:1 in my private home studio, meaning the focus is entirely on you and your learning.
You won't be sharing your training time with other students or worrying about keeping up with a group. You'll have the time and space to ask questions, go over things again and learn at a pace that suits you.
My aim is to make you feel as comfortable as possible in a calm, relaxed environment where you can be yourself, ask absolutely anything and, most importantly, enjoy learning!
I want you to leave feeling more confident in yourself and your abilities.

What does the training involve?
Your training is spread across two days, usually 2–3 weeks apart. This gives you time in between to practise what you've learnt and build your confidence before returning for your second day.
We'll cover the theory behind working safely and professionally as a nail technician, including nail anatomy, health and safety, client consultations, salon hygiene and product knowledge.
There'll be demonstrations throughout, covering natural nail preparation, gel polish and builder gel application, rebalancing and safe removals. I'll talk you through the products, techniques and the reasons behind each step, sharing plenty of my own tips and tricks along the way.
Most importantly, there'll be plenty of hands-on practice, time to ask questions and the opportunity to go over anything you're unsure about. I want you to feel comfortable, supported and confident as you learn.

Your training kit
A mandatory training kit is required for this course, it includes everything you'll need for your training.
We'll be working with The Nail Lab's NU Gel System, so you'll also receive the NU Lamp, which is compatible with the NU Gel System products.
Using the same products throughout your training means I can teach you about the system from my own experience, helping you understand product selection, application and troubleshooting.
What happens after your training?
Once you've completed your two training days, you'll move on to a short theory exam, followed by six practical case studies to demonstrate the techniques you've learnt.
I'll review your submissions, provide feedback and help where needed throughout the process. You're not expected to figure everything out alone!
You'll also have access to The Nail Hub's student support portal through Instagram, giving you an additional place to connect and get support.
And my support doesn't stop once you've qualified. I'd love to remain someone you can come to with questions or when you need a little guidance as you continue developing your skills.
On successful completion of the required assessments, you'll receive your ABT-accredited certificate through The Nail Hub!
